This month's professional development event

We’re excited to offer you two events this month. Both events will be held the week of March 11, 2019.

Event 1: Lunch & Learn Webinar

Brad Meier from the Owatonna Chamber of Commerce will share information on the Steele County Works program; a partnership between the United Way, the Workforce Center, and the Owatonna Chamber of Commerce.

The program is focused on high school students who are undecided about what path to take after high school. The program offers opportunities for job shadowing, internships, and educational resources to help work through the decision making process

Event 2: Tour of Balzar Dairy

Join us and the area ASQ Chapter for a tour of Balzar Dairy in Owatonna to see and learn more about some of the newest technologies and practices in dairy heard management first hand. The innovative robotic milking system Balzar Dairy utilizes not only minimizes milking times, improves udder health, and reduces udder stress, but also improves life for both cows and farmer.

After the tour, feel free to join the group at Torey’s new facility in downtown Owatonna (208 N. Cedar Owatonna, MN 55060) for dinner and networking.

When: 5:15pm (Welcome & Registration); 5:30pm (Tour); 6:30pm (Head to Torey’s for dinner)

Where: Balzar Dairy (5005 NE 60th Street, Owatonna, MN)

Cost: Tour is Free; Dinner is optional at your expense
